I just sat there, staring at the #whitepower hashtag for a few moments, shocked. I asked him if he was joking.
He wasn’t.
When I asked him further about it, he said, “well they say black power so i guess im allowed to say that!!!”. This is the kind of ignorant bullshit mindset that pisses me off, and that continues to get in the way of America’s progress towards racial equality.
